About

Hello, my name is Alex. I am a 27 year old female (living with a male’s name) in Sydney with my man The Designer.

I love to write. I don’t write for my job… yet. I would love to get there one day. I also love wine, to travel (both close and far), choc chip shortbread, the colour yellow, cardigans, cherry coke and actual cherries. I love reading. I do not like shoes. Shoes are either pretty and painful or ugly and comfortable – I am very suspicious of anyone that tells me any kind of heel is comfortable. You can find me sprouting tidbits of my day on twitter here. The Designer is a Mac enthusiast with a quiet* passion for PlayStation and George Orwell. He’s addicted to lucozade and throwing caution to the wind. You can find him on twitter here.

I’m writing about life and love and what it all means. Not really though. I’m actually writing about how I can’t get through a day without falling on my ass in the middle of the street, or finding myself caught up in the bus door or dying everything The Designer and I own pink. And, hopefully, about laughing at it all.

After many months of desire to indulge my private fantasy of writing, I am now venturing to bellyflop into this, my public forum. I invite you to join me for laughter and tears as I set out on the only real challenge I’ve ever really set myself – to write. I want to write a collection of stories from my memories and my imagination. Yes, friends, it’s yet another personal blog.

I want to share the best (let’s be honest, probably some of the worst too) bits of my life with you. Here, you will find stories. Some of them true, some of them fiction, all of them mine.

Hope you enjoy sharing this very special experience with me.

  1. Nice to read a little more about you. I think we are on a similar path? Writing and stories are an important part of my life too. I am really pleased you found us at Write On Wednesday and am looking forward to reading more from you.

    • I have enjoyed reading a little more about you too and I feel as though I have had some ‘what, you too!’ moments. I agree, we’re on a similar path – word love, impulse buying and questionable time management. I love words and I am loving the writing community behind Write on Wednesdays…

  2. Laughing is the best cure for everything 🙂 Best of luck with your writing and I look forward to reading of your upcoming “adventures” Have a great day 🙂
